The balcony of  the house offers spectacular star-gazing and views of distant Mont Sainte-Victoire, made familiar in the 19th and 20th century paintings of Cézanne, whose hometown of Aix-en-Provence is just 30 minutes away.  The nearest substantial town is Manosque, birthplace of Provencal writer Jean Giono and gateway to the Gorge du Verdon.
